Miðflokkurinn, also known as the Centre Party, is a Nordic agrarian and right-wing populist political party in Iceland, established in September 2017. It was founded by former Prime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson after a split from the Progressive Party. The party advocates for lower taxes, stronger national sovereignty, and opposes Iceland joining the European Union. Einar Geir Þorsteinsson is leading the party's list in Hafnarfjörður for the upcoming municipal elections.
