Danska ríkisútvarpið

Stofnun

Danska ríkisútvarpið, officially known in English as the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), is Denmark's national public-service radio and television broadcaster. Founded in 1925, it is the oldest and largest electronic media enterprise in Denmark. While primarily serving Denmark, DR has relevance in Iceland through collaborations, such as a framework agreement with RÚV (the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service) for marketing and selling Icelandic television content internationally. DR also produces and broadcasts content that may be of interest to Icelandic audiences, and Icelandic media outlets like RÚV sometimes report on DR's activities and programming.
