Frakkland is the Icelandic name for France, a country in Western Europe. France holds significance in Iceland due to historical interactions, including French fishermen operating off the Icelandic coast between 1850 and 1914, and the establishment of one of Iceland's first embassies in Paris in 1946. Today, France is a major trading partner, being Iceland's second-largest buyer of seafood and fourth-largest export market overall.
