Bylgjan (meaning "The Wave") is a prominent Icelandic radio station, launched on August 28, 1986, as the first privately owned radio station in Iceland. It broadcasts nationwide through a network of FM transmitters and online streaming, offering adult contemporary, Top 40/Pop, rock music, news, and sports programs. Bylgjan is owned by the media company Sýn and holds a significant market share in Iceland.
