Heimir Már Pétursson is an Icelandic media personality and political figure. He currently serves as the executive director and public relations officer for the parliamentary group of Flokkur fólksins (the People's Party) in Iceland. Pétursson has a long career in media, including working as a journalist and news editor for various Icelandic outlets, and has also been involved in politics previously as the executive director of the Alþýðubandalagið (People's Alliance) from 1996-1999. He has recently stated that he will not run as the lead candidate for Flokkur fólksins in the Reykjavík city council.
