Vestmannaeyjar, also known as the Westman Islands, is a municipality and archipelago located off the south coast of Iceland. It is a significant fishing center and is known for its rich history, volcanic activity, and abundant seabird life, including the largest Atlantic puffin colony in the world. The largest and only inhabited island in the archipelago is Heimaey, which has a population of around 4,639 as of 2024.
