Staður

Bláfjöll, meaning "Blue Mountains" in Icelandic, is a small mountain range located in southwestern Iceland, approximately 30 km from Reykjavík on the Reykjanes peninsula. It is best known for hosting the largest and most popular ski resort in Iceland, offering slopes for downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. The area is also significant for its geology, being part of the Brennisteinsfjöll volcanic system and featuring a landscape shaped by volcanic activity, including craters, fissures, and lava tubes.
