SÁÁ (Samtök áhugafólks um áfengis- og vímuefnavandann), also known as the National Center of Addiction Medicine, is an Icelandic non-profit organization founded in 1977 dedicated to the treatment, education, and prevention of alcohol and substance use disorders. It is the leading provider of addiction treatment services in Iceland, operating Vogur Hospital for detoxification and specialized treatment, as well as outpatient services and rehabilitation programs. SÁÁ's services are an integrated part of the national healthcare system, and they recently signed a new comprehensive agreement with Sjúkratryggingar Íslands (Iceland Health) that took effect on February 1st, strengthening access to and quality of addiction treatment.
