Framsóknarflokkurinn, also known as the Progressive Party, is a centrist to centre-right agrarian political party in Iceland, founded in 1916. It has historically been one of Iceland's two largest political parties and has frequently participated in coalition governments, often holding the prime minister post. The party's primary support traditionally comes from rural areas, and it advocates for moderate nationalism, social market economy principles, and the interests of rural Iceland.
